Frequently Asked Questions
What is private pay occupational therapy?
Private pay OT means services are paid directly by the client or family, rather than through insurance. This allows for more flexibility, personalization, and continuity of care—especially for aging in place, home safety, and wellness-focused support.
Why would someone choose private pay over insurance-covered therapy?
Insurance often limits the number of visits and the type of care provided. Private pay OT fills the gaps by offering preventive care, home modifications, caregiver education, and long-term support that insurance may not cover.
Do you accept insurance?
I don’t bill insurance directly, but I’m happy to explore options on a case-by-case basis. If you have coverage and want to see what’s possible, let’s talk—I’ll do my best to help you navigate it.
Is occupational therapy only for people recovering from injury or surgery?
Not at all. OT helps people of all ages maintain independence, adapt their environments, and live safely at home. For older adults, it’s especially valuable in preventing falls, supporting daily routines, and aging in place.
We already have home health—do we still need this?
Actually, this is home health OT—just not through insurance. I provide the same kind of in-home occupational therapy support you'd expect from traditional home health, but privately. That means more flexibility, no insurance limitations, and care that continues as long as you need it.
Is this just a luxury service?
No. While our concierge-style care is personalized and flexible, it’s designed to meet essential needs—not just comfort. We help clients stay out of nursing homes, reduce caregiver stress, and live with dignity in their own homes.
We didn’t know this kind of service existed—how do we get started?
You’re not alone. Many families don’t realize private OT is an option. We offer free consultations to help you explore what is possible and create a plan that meets your goals.
